Since its inception, the #cryptoindustry has been a beacon of innovation, challenging the status quo of traditional finance with its decentralized architecture and promise of financial inclusion. However, beneath the surface lies a glaring gender disparity that permeates through leadership roles, funding distributions, and the very fabric of founding teams.According to a study conducted in April 2023, only a mere three out of the top 50 CEOs in the crypto industry are #women. This statistic not only highlights a systemic issue but also underscores the urgent need for change within our ecosystem.Yet, amidst this disparity, there are glimmers of hope, shining brightly through the initiatives led by women. Female creators in the Non-fungible Token (NFT) space have been pivotal in promoting gender inclusivity, with projects like World of Women (WoW), Alpha Girl Club, and Women Tribe making significant strides in the industry. Moreover, initiatives such as Women in Blockchain Talks by Lavina Osborne and organizations like Cryptochicks are providing crucial mentorship and education to foster inclusiveness within our community. But Let's not stop there. It's time to shine a spotlight on the visionary women who are driving substantial changes within the industry. Cathie Wood, Elizabeth Stark, and Gracy Chen are just a few examples of leaders who are not only breaking through barriers but also advocating for a more inclusive and diverse crypto landscape. When it comes to literature, the narrative has long been dominated by male voices. However, it's high time we acknowledge the invaluable contributions made by women authors in the cryptocurrency and blockchain space. Works like Camila Russo's "The Infinite Machine," Laura Shin's "The Cryptopians," and Rachel Wolfson's "Bitcoin: Down the Rabbit Hole" offer profound insights that enrich our understanding of this rapidly evolving industry. And let's not overlook the remarkable rise of female crypto investors, particularly in regions like India, where approximately 63 million women are actively participating in the market. This surge in female ownership underscores the growing interest and influence of women in shaping the future of finance. As we celebrate International Women's Day, let's recommit ourselves to amplifying the voices of women in crypto. Together, we can foster a more equitable and inclusive ecosystem that thrives on diversity of thought and perspective.Happy Women's Day! 🚀#WomenInCrypto #CryptoEquality #investinwomen

"A lot of women are lobbyists, but not for their own career" - Hedwige NuyensThis poignant quote from a recent 'Women in Crypto for Boards' event in London is such an important thing to consider. While there are so many talented women in the industry who can do and achieve incredible things, sometimes due to outdated societal norms and disparity in the workplace, it's not always been possible for these people to reach the heights they otherwise should. As the Chair of European Women on Boards, Hedwige has a unique insight into the hiring practices and recruitment methods used to place candidates, and the need for talented women to showcase themselves more effectively so that they aren't overlooked. At our event, she gave great advice on how to ensure that you can be seen and heard, how to get Board ready, and we are excited to have Hedwige back as a speaker at our event in London next week!Crypto is still in its infancy, and has a long way to get yet, but we are at a critical time in which we can ensure that, moving forward, equality and representation at all levels is seen and utilized in the best ways. With our initiatives and events, we are ensuring that women are heard, and are given the tools and opportunities to reach Board level, and make those much needed differences. Consider joining us at one of our future events, and we would always be happy to hear your suggestions too, so please do get in touch if you'd like more information.#WomenInCrypto #DiversityAndInclusion #WomenInLeadership #CryptoCommunity #WomenOnBoards #CryptoCurrency #BoardDiversity

Are there enough women in Crypto? 🤔The short answer is no, but the landscape is evolving.Like elsewhere in financial services, women are underrepresented in the crypto world. As we highlighted in our recent diversity report, this imbalance is not just a numbers issue; it impacts the diversity of thought and innovation in the sector. However, there seems to be a positive shift. More women are stepping into roles as investors, entrepreneurs, and leaders in the crypto space, thanks to increasing support through education and mentorship initiatives. 🙌What else needs to happen, to ensure the future of crypto will be inclusive?#womenincrypto #cryptocareers #diversity

300% Profit-I just found out that quite some Women in Web3 are not currently making money, in spite of having considerable professional experience in the crypto/ blockchain/ web3 space (>2 years).I could not understand why. Imagine you are in a bull market where there are so many ways to make money, and you are armed with "insider" knowledge about the industry. How is it possible to NOT make good money?!How ignorant I was! After 3 days of solid research and ground work on this matter, I realised that there could be so many reasons why women in crypto don't make money! I'm thankful for the open and honest discussion with the smart #Stellar ladies in ARC the Community. Through that conversation, I realised that one big reason why some women in web3 are not making money, is because we don't have a NORMALIZED "cryptosis" culture of gorgeous, rich, smart, wealth-building women who make a lot of money AND impact together. 📍Think Sofia Vergara and how she inspired a whole nation of Latin Americans and fellow Spanish speaker. 📍Think Taylor Swift and her billionaire powerful girl squad. 📍Think Tory Burch and her whole 0-to-1 brand mission of empowering women. The current crypto scene is characterised by a normal "cryptobro" + degen vibe. A lot of my cryptobros call me "bro", because it's just not normal to have a thick-skinned sis like me. Most cryptobros in the space cannot profile (due to lack of lady role models), and hence they don't have a prior heuristic on how to go about interacting with me. I'm okay with being bro-ed because I feel safer that way as well. So, I want to normalise the crypto culture of women making money in blockchain too. Which is why I am sharing this screenshot of the realised profit yesterday. Hopefully the next time (which is soon), I can share more NFT whitelist opportunities of good projects with fellow ladies, they will take action on my curation, and we can make good money and impact together. Before I end this post, I want to ask everyone a question: What could be the possible reasons as to why women are not making more money in crypto? P/S. I'm really sick and tired of "male allies" feeding BS about "women empowerment" as just visibility. The focus on visibility, while important, misses the mark if it doesn't come hand-in-hand with strategies, tools, and pathways for women to build wealth through crypto. I would posit in fact, that such a stance is incredibly misleading. IF you support women working for free in exchange for "exposure", you are doing more harm than good in the space. It also shows me that you don't really know how to make money in the space. Visibility without the backing of real, tangible wealth creation is like being given a seat at the table without a meal. Then why invite the ladies and give people the false impression that "ladies are not included in the conversation, yay? NOPE.IKIGUIDE Metaverse Collective#ikiguide#womeninWeb3#womeninCrypto
